Blind Date with a Book
To celebrate Valentine's Day, come into the library and have a blind date with a book. Choose from our selection of wrapped books to borrow. It will be a mystery until you get home! This is a great chance for you to try reading something you might not normally pick out for yourself. Fill out the review form when you finish the book, and we'll post your review on our Book Review Blog. (If you don't like the book, no problem -- the book won't mind if you don't see it again.)
To submit a review electronically, click here.
Antique Doorknob Display
Come to the Library this month to see "Jewelry for Buildings," a display of antique doorknobs by the Antique Doorknob Collectors of America.

Ready to Visit a Museum?
The Friends of the Library have purchased a museum pass for the Guggenheim and vouchers for the American Museum of Natural History. They were unable to renew the Liberty Science Center pass, but you can still get a discount there. Click here for details.
This Month's Display
January's display is by the Musconetcong Watercolor Group. Classes meet weekly in a 19th-century gristmill overlooking the Musconetcong River near Hampton. The mill is the home and studio of Doris Ettlinger -- watercolorist, teacher, and illustrator of many children’s books. Ettlinger shares her knowledge of watercolor technique and color theory, and provides members with one-on-one instruction. “Watercolor requires careful thought before wetting the brush, courage when applying the paint, and restraint from fussing over it afterwards. When done right the color looks fresh, not overworked.”
