 Did you know? Besides access to WTPL's book, media, and periodical collections, your WTPL library card also allows you to checkout books & other items from other libraries in Morris County! You can have books from other libraries sent to WTPL for you to pick up through our online Library Catalog (learn how). Need an item in a hurry? You can use your WTPL card to check out items from other libraries in Morris County (but make sure you CALL AHEAD--different libraries have different rules about checking items out!)

How to Put an item on Hold

Log in with your library card number (no spaces) and your pin. If you have forgotten your pin or haven’t set up a pin click here or call WTPL for help at 908-876-3596.

Look up the book/item you want.

Select the book by going to “details.” There are often multiple versions of a book (hardcover, paperback, cd, MP3, etc). Go to "details" to make sure you have selected the version that you would like.

On the left hand side of the screen (underneath the image of the book cover) will be a link that says “place hold.” Select that link.

Make sure Washington Twp. Public Library is selected and then click “ok.”if you want your requested items to be delivered to a different library from Washington Township Public Library, choose that library from the drop-down list. Click OK.

Remember to logout.

You’ll receive an automated (recorded) phone call to tell you when your book is ready for pick up at WTPL.
