Twp. young adults entering grades 6-12 and includes prizes, programs, movies, DIY nights, contests,  books, and great
things to do all summer!

Teens  who complete the Teen SRC by earning at least 5,000 TSRC Points AND logging in at least 3 separate times by (Tue) 8/10 will be put into a drawing for our GRAND PRIZE: a Digital Video Camcorder! Runners up will receive gift certificates donated by the Book Loft in Mansfield.

Book Reviews
Earn 50 TSRC Points for every Book Review that you write! 50 TSRC Points will be awarded to thoughtfully written book reviews of at least 5 sentences.

Cover Recovery Contest

Earn 200 TSRC Points just for entering!

How To Enter:
Pick out a book in WTPL's Young Adult (Teen) Fiction section of the library with a cover that you don't like (looks outdated, don't like the image, etc.).

Take a look at the rules below and submit
your entry between 7/1 and 7/31.

Rules:

  • The participant must be in grades 6-12 and live in Washington Township.
  • The cover being redesigned must be part of WTPL's Young Adult (Teen) Collection (either hardcover or paperback).
  • Submissions size should match the size of the cover being redesigned.
  • All submissions must be the original work of the participant.
  • Include on the front of the new cover: your design, the book's title and author.
  • Include on the back of the new cover: your full name, grade, home phone, and e-mail.
  • Only one entry per participant.
  • Submit your entry by July 31. Submissions will be displayed in the Teen Corner of the library and the winner  will be decided by voting between August 1 — August 31. Winner announced in September.

Adopt-A-Shelf
Earn 15 points per visit!

Max # of adopt-a-shelf points per week is 15.

Adopt a shelf @ WTPL this summer when you sign up for the TSRC! Mark that you would like to Adopt-A-Shelf on your registration sheet and you will get a shelf tag to claim your shelf. Pick an unmarked book case (3-4 shelves) in the Teen or Children’s area & stake your claim. Then come in about once a week to take care of your shelf, make sure it’s in order, and do other volunteer work in the library.
